C’est en ces termes que le lieutenant Général Constant NDIMA , Gouverneur militaire s’est exprimé devant les professionnels des médias conduits par Madame Masika Zawadi Rosalie, la présidente de l’ UNPC et Jacques Vagheni , secrétaire exécutif de l’ UNPC , ELONGO KANDAKANDA chargé de la discipline au sein de l’ UNPC, Maitre Constantin MUGISHA le coordonnateur d’ASADEM, Jean Baptiste KIYANA du REMED, MUHINDO KAMUNDU du CORACON, Madame Florence de l’ UCOFEM et Madame Godelieve UWIMANA de Pole Institute.
Au cours de ces échanges, Madame Rosalie et Jacques Vagheni ont présenté deux mémos au Gouverneur qui résument les problèmes liés à la liberté de la presse. Il s’agit entre autres le non accès à l’information des autorités locales, des menaces, des intimidations, le déficit de l’information en lien avec la pandémie de covid-19 et des contradictions quant à la compréhension des dispositions l’Etat de siège au niveau des parties prenantes.
« Je vous invite à collaborer avec la cellule de communication du gouvernorat, avec le colonel NZIKE KAIKO le porte-parole militaire. Faites-moi aussi deux propositions. La première par rapport à l’organisation de la communication hebdomadaire sur covid-19 en province , la seconde par rapport à la vulgarisation des textes qui régissent l’ Etat de siège. Par rapport aux autorités locales, j’ai invité l’ Administrateur militaire du territoire de Lubero pour les griefs avancés contre lui. J’invite Elongo , celui de la discipline de journalistes de serrer les vices par rapport aux journalistes qui ne font pas bien leur travail » Constant NDIMA , lieutenant Général gouverneur de province du Nord- Kivu.
Les professionnels satisfaits ont convenu de travailler sur les deux propositions et d’harmoniser avec le porte-parole militaire , colonel NZIKE.
