Ce samedi 17 août 2019 à la maison des jeunes à Goma, plus de 500 personnes ont eu l’occasion de voir l’action de la Croix-Rouge de la République démocratique du Congo (CRRDC) et du Comité international de la Croix-Rouge (CICR) à travers les yeux des artistes congolais. Ces derniers ont présenté, à travers la musique, la comédie, le dessin et la peinture, des œuvres sur les 25 ans d’action humanitaire du CICR au Kivu.
Au cours de cet évènement organisé en marge de la journée mondiale de l’aide humanitaire, 10 dessinateurs et peintres ont été honorés parmi près de 200 qui ont partagé leurs contributions. Les musiciens Dety Darba et Franck Issa ont présenté pour la première fois une chanson qu’ils ont composée pour saluer l’action du CICR

Le comédien Mzee Mbukuli a, dans une pièce de théâtre, rendu hommage à la bravoure des nombreux volontaires de la Croix-Rouge de la RDC, qui sont très engagés dans les actions humanitaires en faveur des personnes affectés par les conflits armés et les violences au Nord-Kivu. « Cette manifestation ne vise pas seulement à faire connaitre l’action humanitaire du CICR durant les 25 dernières années, mais surtout à saluer le courage et la résilience des populations du Kivu. Malgré toutes les souffrances et les violences auxquelles ils font face, les Congolais nous ont toujours impressionnés par leur capacité de reprendre leur vie et surmonter toute difficulté» a déclaré Carlos Batallas, chef de sous-délégation du CICR à Goma. .jpg)

Depuis 25 ans, le CICR continue à réunir des milliers de personnes qui ont été séparées de leurs proches à cause du conflit armé, soigner les blessés de guerre, subvenir aux besoins essentiels en termes de nourriture et eau ainsi que sensibiliser les porteurs d’armes sur la nécessité de respecter les lois de la guerre et la dignité humaine. « Mais malgré tout cela, les besoins humanitaires ne font qu’augmenter au Nord-Kivu. Nous continuerons à agir, mais il est temps que ce cercle de violence contre les populations cesse » a indiqué Carlos Batallas.
Au cours de cette semaine, un deuxième évènement aura lieu dans la ville de Bukavu le 22 août au collège Alfajiri.
