Une vingtaine des journalistes et avocats membres d’ASADEM, Association d’Avocats pour la Défense des Médias réunis dans la grande salle du REMED pour réfléchir autour des crimes commis contre les journalistes du Nord- Kivu. C’est à l’occasion de la journée internationale de la fin de l’impunité pour les crimes commis contre les journalistes. Ouverte par le Coordonnateur du Réseau des Médias pour le Développement, REMED, Monsieur BONANE BUGESO a dit « Cette journée coïncide avec la création du REMED. Une coïncidence, anniversaire du REMED ET JOURNEE INTERNATIONALE DE LA FIN DE L’IMPUNITE POUR LES CRIMES COMMIS CONTRE LES JOURNALISTES. REMED fête 13 ans d’existence et c’est le 8 ème anniversaire de la journée internationale de lutte contre les crimes commis contre les journalistes décrété par l’UNESCO. »
Maitre Constantin Mugisha, Coordonnateur a présenté, la situation des crimes contre les journalistes à partir de l’observatoire de l’UNESCO. Quatre journalistes tués depuis le mois de mais dont 3 au Nord-Kivu et un en Iture. ASADEM avec ses avocats ont effectué des descentes pour documenter ces cas de meurtre. Pour le cas de feu Barthélemy CHANGAMUKA de la radio communautaire de Kitchanga, assassiné le 09 mai 2021, une descente/ enquête d’ASADEM Asbl s’était soldée sur le dépôt d’une plainte à l’auditorat militaire de Goma. (Rapport de mission N°01/2021). Tandis que pour l’assassinat d’Héritier MAGAYANE de la RTNC Rutshuru, assassiné le 7 Août 2021 à Bunyangula, ASADEM confirme que deux suspects auteurs de ce crime crapuleux sont déjà aux arrêts. « Les preuves sont toutes réunies. Des révélations accablantes sur la mort de notre confère sont entre les mains de l’équipe d’enquêtes au niveau de la justice. Nous poursuivons les autres indices pour mettre la main sur toute l’équipe » en citant la cruche hebdo.

Le Coordonnateur du REMED a remercié l’UNESCO Fonds Mondial pour la défense des Médias pour l’appui financier du projet « Projet de renforcement du système sécuritaire et capacités en investigation des journalistes des médias membres du REMED pour la lutte contre l’impunité à l’Est de la RD Congo. » Qui est à la fin. Il a invité le Chef du Projet, Monsieur Jean Baptiste KIYANA à pouvoir mobiliser les partenaires pour appuyer ASADEM l’enfant né du projet REMED – UNESCO.
Les journalistes ont recommandé ASADEM et REMED de pouvoir amener l’UNPC à se présenter devant la justice comme partie civile « Famille professionnelle » des journalistes.
Séance tenante, la réponse de l’auditeur supérieur de l’auditorat militaire de Goma a été brandie pour prouver la volonté de la justice militaire pour poursuivre les enquêtes.
REMED pleure quand un journaliste est tué ; REMED est inquiet quand les journalistes sont menacés. A quand la justice pour savoir les auteurs des meurtres des journalistes ? S’est interrogé Bonane Bugeso.
