Le centre hospitalier de la maison pénitencier de Goma traverse une pénurie de médicament. Le médecin de cette structure médicale de la prison centrale de Goma lance un cri d’alarme contre non seulement pour le manque crient des médicaments, mais aussi d’autres matériels techniques qui freinent le bon fonctionnement de cet hôpital. Le lot de médicament qui était un don de bienfaiteurs pour la charité aux prisonniers de Goma est complètement épuisé.
Plus de 2 000 détenus de la prison centrale de Goma dit Munzenze sont exposés à la mort, car la situation sanitaire dans cette structure pénitentiaire n’offre plus de condition humaine aux personnes privé de liberté en attendant un rétablissement psycho-sociale et mentale.
Le risque des morts en série est perceptible dans cette prison si l’autorité pénitentiaire ne fait pas attention : « plus de 2 000 détenus sont au bord du gouffre, le risque d’être plus catastrophique que le mois précédents si jamais rien n’est fait dans un bref délais », A déclaré à Radio Okapi le Docteur Marcelin Kamabu, Médecin responsable de cette structure médicale de la prison Central de Goma dite Munzenze. « Nous n’avons pas à ces jours les médicaments, lorsqu’il n’y a pas le médicament, je ne vois pas pourquoi l’on doit rester en train de travailler ! Nous avons lancé notre de détresse aux autorités Nationales et provinciaux hélas, il n’y a pas toujours une réponse favorable. Notons que les soins aux détenus n’ont jamais été une priorité dans cette prison », Poursuit-il.
En faisant un tour dans les pavillons hommes et femmes, le constat est que la prison centrale de Goma est pleine comme un œuf ! Au départ construit pour une capacité de 150 personnes, elle héberge plus de 2 000 pensionnaires qui croupissent dans une misère épouvantable. On note l’absence des installations hygiéniques, des cellules et dortoir certains passent de nuits à la belle étoile.
Cette prison est dépourvue de tous les droits réservés à ses pensionnaires exigés par le droit de l’homme. On note par exemple dans les pavillons des femmes, on observe des femmes enceintes qui attrapent des infections, d’autres arrivent à accoucher à même le sol par manque de lit d’accouchement.
Ceci est un facteur de risque de mortalité maternelle pour cette catégorie de femme en détention Car, certaines femmes y arrivent avec de grossesse, elles sont soumises à cet exercice macabre et périlleuse.
La prison de Goma est-elle un mouroir ?
Cette situation inquiétante indigne plusieurs observateurs, le cas d’un député national élus de Goma qui dans un temps avait passé plusieurs mois dans cette maison pénitentiaire. Lors de ses vacances parlementaires dans sa base électorale, il a rendu visite aux prisonniers de la prison centrale de Goma. Au cours de cette visite, ce dernier non seulement il a dénoncé les conditions inhumaines dans lesquelles les détenus de la prison Munzenze endurent, mais aussi le manque de nécessaire vital. Pour lui l’état doit prendre ses responsabilités par rapport aux problèmes criant de la pénurie des médicaments essentiels et de la nourriture dans cette prison sur peuplée à Goma : « La prison de Goma est un mouroir, des prisonnier malades vivent dans un état de santé très détérioré. J’ai trouvé plusieurs amis laissé dans la prison presque mourants, certain parmi eux nécessitent des interventions chirurgicales urgente. Les autres souffrent de la malnutrition et devient malade », A dénoncé Jean-Baptiste Kasekwa Député National. L’autorité n’effectuent jamais des visites d’inspection : « j’ai été emprisonné dans cette prison pendant neuf mois, mon constant en conclusion est que depuis une dizaine d’années les autorités provinciales n’avaient jamais effectué une visite d’inspection dans cette prison pour palper la réalité et la difficulté des détenus de la prison centrale de Goma », poursuit-il.
Pour la petite histoire, les 2 500 détenus de la prison Centrale de Goma dit Munzenze sont exposés à la mort face à cette pénurie de médicament dans l’hôpital dans cette maison pénitentiaire. Les médecins dans cette structure médicale ont du pain sur la planche si l’autorité et les bienfaiteurs n’interviennent pas en urgence la vie des prisonniers devient un problème. En dépit de la privation de la liberté, ils ont le droit de vivre.
