A l’occasion de la journée internationale de l’eau célébrée le 22 mars, le département environnemental du Club des Auditeurs des Droits de l’Homme CADH en sigle, tient à rappeler que l’eau c’est la vie ; cependant, cette même eau donne la mort si elle n’est pas bien traitée, disponible et accessible causant des maladies d’origine hydrique (typhoïde, choléra,…)
Le CADH constate avec regret qu’une grande partie de la population congolaise n’a pas accès à l’eau potable malgré la densité élevée du réseau hydrographique du pays ; bien que l’état ait structuré la desserte en eau dans les villes et villages, cette denrée reste rare dans la plupart des ménages. Ici l’occasion d’interpeler le service de la REGIDESO qui a comme mission de rendre disponible l’eau potable à la population. La souffrance de la population congolaise devrait être soulagée par les efforts du gouvernement à travers son service de la desserte en eau potable dont le non accès est une violation grave des droits humains que nous dénonçons. Les noyades dans les lacs et rivières des gens en quête de l’eau ainsi que les violations sexuelles perpétrées par des inciviques contre les femmes qui sortent à la recherche de l’eau constituent une lourde responsabilité des services étatiques.
Nous recommandons qu’un suivi rigoureux soit diligenté auprès de la REGIDESO pour assurer une adduction d’une eau réellement potable à la population en CLUB DES AUDITEURS DES DROITS DE L’HOMME Tél. +243 998 666 509 E-mail : cadh200@gmail.com

remplaçant les anciennes tuyauteries vétustes bourrées des calcaires et étendre le réseau de distribution de l’eau dans les nouvelles zones non encore desservies.
Que la population ait la culture de se rassurer de l’usage de l’eau propre dans les ménages.
Que l’office congolais de contrôle OCC fasse un contrôle rigoureux et se rassure de la qualité de l’eau minérale vendue et servie à la population par la panoplie d’entreprises privées. Télécharger Le communiqué en PDF ici
