Ils redoutent un danger pour les écosystèmes, pour cela ils ont lancé un plaidoyer aux gestionnaire quant à ce.
En effet, sur financement de l’Union Européenne, l’alliance VIRUNGA, qui cogère le Parc National des VIRUNGA (PNVi) avec l’Institut Congolais pour la Conservation de l’Environnement (ICCN) produit de l’énergie hydroélectrique et dont la quantité sera de 105 mégawatts produite par 12 centrales hydro-électriques. Malheureusement, il y a un écart criant entre le niveau de vie des communautés riveraines et le coût du courant de l’alliance VIRUNGA. Ce qui devient un danger pour les écosystèmes du PNVi. C’est ainsi que, nous nous sommes penchées à cette question afin d’apporter des propositions pour une bonne gestion durable de la biodiversité du PNVi en lançant un plaidoyer au Directeur Provincial de l’ICCN qui a pour objet est : La déforestation du PNVi malgré la présence des énergies renouvelables de l’alliance VIRUNGA: demande de desservir cette énergie dans but de la conservation communautaire participative, selon le principe de la transition juste.
