Pendant trois jours les acteurs de la société civile, les médias, la Police, la Justice, les représentants des universités, la Protection civile, la Mairie et de chercheur psychologue ont participé à une retraite autour de la thématique liée à la prévention communautaire du suicide soutenue par Mind and Lif Institute une association sans but lucratif basé aux états Unies d’Amérique.
Au total une dizaine de participants composé des acteurs de la société civile, les médias, la police, les Universités, la protection civile, la mairie, la justice et des chercheurs psychologues ont répondus présent à cet atelier à cet atelier sur la prévention de psychologique. Tenue à Goma du 21 au 23 juin 2022 au centre Pallotin est située à une dizaine de km du centre ouest de Goma.
Pendant trois jours ils ont échangé sur le mécanisme de gestion et prévention de cas de suicides au Nord-Kivu et en particulier à Goma. Ils ont également échangé avec les acteurs présents sur l’ampleur du suicide à Goma. Apres les échanges on note que plusieurs facteurs sont à la base du suicide.
Dans le contexte du Nord Kivu et de la région de Grands-Lacs, on note la recrudescence de conflit armes, qui accentue la crise humanitaire en République Démocratique du Congo, aussi les conséquences directes et indirect du génocide dans la région des Grands Lacs. Vous retiendrez avec tous ces cohortes de problèmes en y ajoutant des épidémies de santés, des déplacements de la population, les violences sexuelles et la pauvreté sont là les causes des traumatismes qui frappent les habitants de la région.
Compte tenu de tous ces paramètres, la grande partie de la population est exposée à une souffrance qui provoque les traumatismes et les problèmes psychologiques ce qui pousse certaine personne vers les suicides qui , ne sont pas documentés et d’autres restent sous silence.
Quid de suicide et de la prévention ?
L’organisation de cet atelier a comme but d’amener les participants à réfléchir sur l’élaboration des stratégies pouvant aider à réduire et à prévenir autant que possible le taux de suicide et de souffrance psychologique dont font face les habitants de l’est de la République Démocratique du Congo. L’organisateur a en outre pensé qu’à l’issue de cet atelier il doit s’y développer un programme qui abordera le risque de suicide, les troubles de stress la dépression post traumatique et la dépression basée sur des pratiques contemplatives et les valeurs africaines.
Les participant à leurs tours pensent cet atelier tombe à point nommé, car pendant l’atelier ils ont développé les stratégies de prise en charge de cas dans le secteur par le ministère de l’intérieur qui est le responsable de la question dans la sécurité civile. Pour y parvenir les participant pensent qu’il sera nécessaire d’installer le mécanisme d’alerte précoce au sein de service de la protection civile pour que l’information arrive à temps aux autorités, à la police et à la justice pour qu’ils en occupent.
L’avant dernier jour s’est caractérisé par le développement de la réflexion sur la façon dont la philosophie Ubuntu et les pratiques contemplatives peuvent être des ressources internes pouvant faire face à un problème mental dans un environnement où le système de santé mentale est sous-développé de la part de chercheur Romuald ADILI AMINI qui a développé, les valeurs africaines devant la problématique de suicide cas chez le MUHAVU traditionnelle, il a montré que : « depuis nos aïeux le suicide était de porte malheur à toute la communauté, car c’était un tabou, ensuite des pratiques lieu à la cérémonie de personne qui se sont suicidés. Pour éviter d’être Kishwasi » retenons en passant que la solidarité familiale par des conseils des sages est là, l’une des préventions pour éviter des cas de suicide. D’autre part, s’agissant de Muhindo KAMBALE Jean Claude un autre intervenant a présenté la philosophie africaine d’Ubuntu et d’autres valeurs africaines comme ressources intérieures pour surmonter les difficultés de la vie pouvant conduire au suicide.
