La journée mondiale de l’enfant africain est célébrée chaque année en souvenir du 16 juin 1976 où des milliers d’étudiants sud-africains ont manifesté à Soweto pour exiger une éducation de qualité. Des centaines d’enfants ont été tués et blessés par le régime de l’apartheid en place à l’époque.
Aujourd’hui, la situation des enfants en Afrique est toujours préoccupante et les dirigeants sont appelées à mettre en place des mesures fortes pour que tous les enfants africains puissent avoir accès à l’éducation, aux soins, à un niveau de vie décent, et soient pris en compte dans les décisions les concernant.
MIDEFEHOPS lutte pour que les enfants africains, et tous les enfants du monde, voient leurs droits respectés. L’association apporte des réponses concrètes à des situations préjudiciables au développement des enfants.
En cette année 2022, le 16 juin a vu les enfants de Goma faire une excursion pédagogique, organisée par CAPACITAR à BUHIMBA aux bénéfices des enfants encadrés au sein des différents centre d’encadrement d’enfants à Goma, notamment CEAVU, De BVS et de THALITA KHUM. Les assistants et encadreurs sociaux n’ont pas manqué à ce rendez-vous annuel.
Les enfants ont baigné dans la joie, en cette journée du 16 Juin 2022. Quelques activités récréatives ont été organisés pour eux ; dont la célébration de la messe, la Visite guidée au site d’élevage du séminaire de Buhimba, mais aussi une échange entre les enfants sur leurs choix ou attirance lors de ainsi que la méditation dans la nature.
A cette occasion les présentations artistiques ont été organisés pour redonner sourire à quelques enfants traumatisés.
En en croire Neema Kasongo assistante social au CEAVU, « la joie des enfants était au top à ce jour de la journée mondiale de l’enfant africain. On pouvait le lire sur leurs visages après un rafraîchissement (Pic-Nic) ». La journée a été clôturée par quelques chants assaisonnés des pas des denses, avant la prendre une photo de famille.
Notons qu’à leur tour pour exprimer leurs sentiments de joie, les enfants n’ont pas manqué de remercier CAPACITARE pour avoir organisé cette journée à leur faveur.
