Communiqué bombardement Rwanguba 16 août 2022
Les combats entre les FARDC et le M23 signalé à Rwanguba on signale l’endommagement de la centrale hydroélectrique dans cette zone. C’était dans la matinée de mardi 16 août 2022 dans le territoire de Rutshuru. C’était dans un communiqué officiel de l’Institut Congolais de la Concervation de Nature a publié que la rédaction de la Cruche est en copie que, la direction du parc de Virunga a indiqué que son chantier a souillé des tirs d’artillerie lourde provenant des positions du M23.
Retenons que les tireurs de M23 ont largués deux engins explosifs au milieu du chantier de l’ICCN à Rwanguba, causant plusieurs dégâts sur les équipements de chantier, les installations résidentielles pour les travailleurs et des ateliers de construction, indique le communiqué. Dieu aidant, précise le communiqué, qu’aucune victime n’a pas été déploré parmi les membres du personnel, car les autorités du parc avaient déjà procédé à une évacuation de son personnel dès le début de l’attaque. Géographiquement le Parc National des Virunga est au cœur de la zone affectée par les combats opposant les FARDC à la rébellion du M23.Communiqué bombardement Rwanguba 16 août 2022
L’on regrette que le secteur des gorilles de montagne, dans sa partie sud se situe dans le territoire de Rutshuru, se trouvant à cheval entre le Rwanda et la République Démocratique du Congo, est occupé par le M23 et appuyé par les Forces de la Défense Rwandaise comme ne cesse de dénonce la République Démocratique du Congo. Cette Zone est également devenue l’objet d’intenses combats depuis octobre 2021. Tenez, c’est depuis le 22 novembre 2021, même les écogardes ne sont pas épargnées, l’on se souvient qu’un écogarde, du nom d’Etienne Kanyaruchinya, avait été tué au cours d’une violente attaque contre un poste de patrouille de l’ICCN à Bukima.
L’attaque de ce chantier de la construction de la centrale hydroélectrique de Matebe n’enchante pas le bénéficiaire directe et indirecte de cet ouvrage : « je considère cette attitude du M23 et son parrain le Rwanda d’un crime de guerre. Ça me rappelle les année 2008 ce que l’armée Rwandaise avait fait pour le barrage d’Inga lorsqu’ils accompagnaient le Rassemblement Congolais pour la Démocratie une autre rébellion contre Kinshasa, cette même armé s’était illustré de saccager la centrale hydroélectrique de Manono. Pour la petite histoire ces centrales hydroélectriques du parc des Virunga sera la deuxième à être construit sur la rivière Rutshuru, dans la bourgade de Rwanguba et Matebe, une fois terminé va produire près de 42Méga Watt d’électricité, qui sera alors une première grande source d’énergie dans la partie orientale de la RDC
