Pour cette date du 19 août 2022, je me retrouve face à ma passion de la photographie depuis la petite enfance. Sorti d’une moule d’inspiration des autres grands photographes de la ville de Bukavu et de Goma. J’ai pu prendre l’engagement à partir d’une approche transgénérationnelle de certains aînés de ma ville et d’ailleurs.
A cette Journée mondiale de la photographie qui est célébrée dans le monde entier les photographes de Goma, nous ne sommes pas à l’écart. Car, en dépit de la situation que nous traversons en Afrique et en particulier en RDC, les photographes de Goma, tous animé d’apporter son appareil photo en tant photographes professionnels ou amateurs.
« La journée n’est pas seulement célébrée par les fervents adeptes de la photographie en Afrique, elle est aussi célébrée par plusieurs personnes du monde entier quels que soient leurs centres d’intérêts. » A Souligné Mamadou Gomis, président et fondateur de la FAAP et membre actif de la Fédération des Artistes africains Photographe (FAAP) basé entre l’Espagne et le Sénégal
Cette journée est une occasion d’embrasser notre passion pour la photographie. Qui rappel de souvenir ou carrément écrire une histoire à travers les images puisque le photographe reste un témoin à l’ombre derrière sa caméra.
« Que nous soyons amateurs ou professionnels, c’est le jour pour nous de montrer ce que nous pouvons faire avec notre appareil photo. La photographie possède les atouts de raconter des histoires et d’inspirer les gens. » insiste Mamadou Gomis, présidente et fondateur de la FAAP basé entre Espagne et le Sénégal.
A nos jours, la photographie a changé la façon dont nous voyons le monde et nous donne la possibilité de partager la perception sur le monde, alors pourquoi ne pas partager des “souvenirs” à travers le monde en quelques secondes ?
Cette journée unique est donc l’occasion de se rappeler comment une photographie peut être vraiment spéciale. Aujourd’hui, nous prenons nos appareils photos pour acquis et une photographie n’a rien de nouveau. 196 ans, ce n’est pas 32 ans de photographie.
Alors, pourquoi la date du 19 août ? Il semble que les histoires soient presque tout d’accord pour dire le 19 août 1839- vient du procédé du daguerréotype et ses deux pionniers.
