La Société Minière de Bisunzu a le regret d’annoncer à l’opinion publique tant nationale qu’internationale qu’une altercation oppo- sant des présumés creuseurs à la police Nationale des Mines (PMH en sigle) est survenu ce dimanche 02 juin 2019, sur le chantier mi- nier de MUVUMBUKO..jpg)
Le bilan de cet incident est de un mort et trois blessés dont un policier de la PMH.
Alors que les activités de la mine sont suspendues les dimanches suite à l’indisponibilité des services étatiques, certains individus armés de lourds projectiles ont tentés de s’introduire par force sur le périmètre d’exploitation blessant gravement l’un des trois policiers en charge de la surveillance du site. Ces derniers ont, après plusieurs sommations, ou- vert le feu, entrainant la mort d’un des individus.
A noter, que la victime ne possédait pas de carte d’exploitant minier arti- sanal et ne figurait sur aucun registre lui autorisant l’accès au site, et qui soulève le doute quant aux intentions de ce dernier.

Les trois policiers présumés impliqués ont été entendus par l’Auditorat Militaire compétent, et présentés devant le Tribunal Militaire de Garnison de Goma pour une procédure de flagrance. La SMB fait confiance en la justice pour déterminer les circonstances claires de cet évènement mal- heureux.

La SMB déplore cet incident et dénonce l’instrumentalisation de ces évènements malheureux par certains politiciens, n’hésitant pas à véhiculer de fausses informations notamment sur le nombre de victimes afin de nuire à l’image de la société.
La SMB sera obligée de prendre des dispositions qui vont dans le sens de la préservation de ses droits en ce y compris la résiliation anticipée du protocole avant l’échéance des 15 mois telle que convenue dans l’accord
Les creuseurs doivent prendre leurs responsabilités en dénonçant les personnes qui veulent troubler l’ordre public et la préservation de la chaîne d’approvisionnement.
